Call for New Projects or Initiatives

  • Andrew reminded the group that Kirsten Kortz will be starting as the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness on Monday, October 23rd and will take over leading the meetings.  

Ad-Hoc Group Update

  • ZogoTech Outstanding Ticket/Enhancement Cleanup + IPEDS Data Element Additions 
    • Mike said there were no new updates at this time. 
    • All fall and summer IPEDS reporting is complete. 
     
  • Secure Data Transfer Practices/Policies 
    • N/A 
  • HR Data Cleanup 
    • Rosa mentioned Accounting is working on submitting tickets to the MA Comptroller to get department titles updated. 
    • Angel said that it can be a slow process. 
    • Angel and Sam will be meeting to review the list and see what was added versus changed. 
    • Sam informed the group that there are three different applications that use the unit/dept. org table. Changes need to be made in all three systems and only certain departments are authorized to make those changes. 
  • Dean’s List 
    • Kirsten mentioned that the process is ready for Shawna and Joan to test. 
    • Joan said they were waiting for the PRAC refresh to happen so that it wouldn’t be wiped out.  
    • After the refresh happens they will test for the fall. 
  • Stop Out vs. Alumni 
    • Group has come to a consensus as to when students will be considered a stop-out versus other groups (I.e., potential returning students, non-degreed alumni) for marketing and communication purposes. 
    • The decision was that after 6 long terms from a student’s last enrolled term, they would no longer be a stop-out. 
    • This group will pivot to focus on data quality of student contact information. 
  • Banner Cohort Field 
    • N/A 
  • Communication Protocol for Faculty and Staff reaching out to students 
    • Stella reported that the group had a successful initial meeting. 
    • They brainstormed ideas and made sure that all relevant stakeholders were there.
