First Announcements

  • New Director of IE – Kirsten Kortz
    • Starts late October, will take over some Data Governance Management work
  • Welcome to new members:

Call for New Projects or Initiatives

  • Communication protocol for Faculty and Staff reaching out to students – Stella
    • Large amounts of ungoverned correspondence to students from various areas of the college necessitates a clear college policy

Ad-Hoc Group Updates

  • ZogoTech Outstanding Ticket/Enhancement Cleanup + IPEDS Data Element Additions
    • Addition of Student Transfer Credits to ZogoTech in progress
  • Secure Data Transfer Practices/Policies
    • Martha not present for update, though the group had planned to meet on 9/11
  • Destiny One Updates
    • No update
  • HR Data Cleanup
    • Approximately 90% done with the data cleanup
    • Next steps:
      • Working with finance, who is the single authorized area to request state level changes to HRCMS, to update/modernize state department name and org number listings so that they will have an exact match with Banner/Active Directory, and eventually Interview Exchange
  • Dean’s List
    • Final testing to happen soon
  • Stop Out vs. Alumni
    • The group met to discuss how we should be corresponding to students that were enrolled but eventually dropped out
    • Work in progress, with discussions centered around determining what correspondence is currently happening, to which segments of students, and through which platforms
    • Group will meet again next week to continue work
  • Banner Cohort Field
    • The group met, basically determined that there’s currently a lot of inconsistencies in how the cohort table is used in banner and that an appropriate first step would be to establish some governance around how that table is used
    • Group will be on hold for now, but may come back in the future
