  • Melba – TK20 announcement (has to leave after 10 minutes)
    • TK20 assessment tool used for collecting and aggregating information related to accreditation
      • Not renewing the contract, in the process of contacting people to pull information out of it if it’s needed before the product is sunset
      • There will be a SQL server available in the future to pull data
      • NECHE and Nursing Accreditation information has already been pulled
  • ZogoTech demo will be presented at the next meeting, 4/20

    • Mike Swiniarski: Changing the data logic in ZogoTech and on dashboards for high school students that enroll at NECC after graduating from high school
      • Early College students might be considered continuing students in their first semester at college outside of the early college program, though they should be considered New Students for reporting purposes (IPEDS and HEIRS).
      • Check-in with absent data managers before going ahead with the change
  • Call for integration of any initiatives/projects that are related to data governance but not are not currently connected with the data governance group
    • Danny – Employee data cleanup between HR and IT
  • Metadata Policy Development Group
    • Metadata is data about other data (description of the data, datatype, valid values) and is needed as a benchmark to determine data quality. This group is being formed to develop a metadata policy to improve the existing metadata at the college.

  • Ad-Hoc Group Updates:
    1. Employee Departure and Data Access
      1. A separation listserv to key offices that own tools was developed so that HR can email these offices to have all systems access removed for any departing employees. 
    2. Software Onboarding, Procurement, and Evaluation Process Danny
      1. Started creating a process flow for how software should be evaluated
      2. Discussion on who should be involved in the evaluation process and things that should be considered
      3. Intake form development
    3. Financial Aid/Accounts Receivable Data Integration with Zogotech and IE Office – Despina
      1. Joan and Despina will be providing information to IE on Banner elements to be added to ZogoTech
    4. Defining Stop Out vs. Alumni Population Criteria – Lori
      1. The group is investigating the definitions used at other colleges, but there doesn’t appear to be any consensus at other schools
      2. Dave is actively looking at demographic information on the students in question
    5. ZogoTech Outstanding Ticket/Enhancement Cleanup + IPEDS Data Element Additions – Andrew and Mike
      1. Most ZogoTech tickets are done, one last data element to investigate
      2. Addition of IPEDS data elements and Frozen Data (snapshots)
    6. Adult Basic Education + DestinyOne – Sandy Zappala
      1. Determine a process for tracking non-credit students that, at some point, enroll in a credit course.
        1. A customized BANNER report from KB may be able to accomplish this
